Bradley Gilbert Sr.
Age 75, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008.
He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on March 15, 1933.
Bradley was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Loretta Gilbert; his parents, Omer & Chloe Gilbert; and by one sister, Opal Hibbard.
He is survived by two children, Bradley Gilbert Jr and Diana & her husband, Gary Witt; five grandchildren, Michael (Beth), Sheila (Jason), Craig, Bradley (Tiffany) and Amanda; five great grandchildren, Jason, Kailey, Caitlin, Abbey, Braylen; two sisters, Gertrude (Ray) Hacker and Cledith (Don) Bent; three sisters-in-law, Virginia Call, Bonita Curtis and Jane Hampton; his special friends, Marty Gilbert/Campbell, Sharon & Christen Reed; and by numerous nieces, nephews & many good friends.
Bradley was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of American Legion # 613, the Eagles # 2306, and Farmersville Masonic Temple # 482 F&AM. He retired from General Motors in 1996 with 47 years of service. He was loved by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday (12/11) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Pastor Tim Lorenzo will officiate. The family will be receiving friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.
