Boyd C. Flynn

FLYNN, Boyd C. age 68 of West Carrollton, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his son Brian C. Flynn, his parents Basil Flynn and Ollie Ottinger and his beloved dog Baby Girl. He is survived by Nancy, his loving wife of 44 years, his son Bradley (Marie) Flynn; grandchildren Heather Flynn, Airman 1st Class Alexander Flynn and his fiancé Danielle Kauth, Melaina Jernigan and Madisyn Jernigan-Cook; great granddaughter Natalie Marie Flynn; 3 sisters and 4 brothers; sister-in-law Kaye and husband Herb Couchman; Guard Dog Extraordinaire Pepper Anne; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Boyd and Nancy owned and operated Flynn's Carryout and Engraving from 1978-2005. He retired from Karolton Envelope after 32 years of service and was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the WCBA and the WCRA. Boyd was very active in the community and with youth sports in West Carrollton, serving on the board of Parks and Recreation for over 20 years. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until time of service. A memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Boyd.
