Bonnie Raye Lewis

Bonnie Raye "Bugs" Lewis, age 72, of Dayton, passed away on January 29, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born in Fairborn, Ohio, on May 22, 1949, the daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Alspaugh) Howell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James "Slim Jim" Lewis; twin sister, Connie Brackney; numerous siblings; and her dogs, Taco and Ginger.
Bonnie is survived by her loving children, Raymond Lewis, Jr. and Crystal Byrd; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Judy Lauber; and many other loving family and friends.
She was a member of the Easter Seals for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed playing BINGO, swimming, fishing and watching TV, while drinking her Pepsi and eating Creamsicles. Bonnie adored her time spent with family, especially having cookouts. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 10:00am, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
