Bodie Collett

Collett, Monroe "Bodie", age 57, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born June 2, 1950 in Dayton, the son of Allen & Sophie Collett. He worked at Premier Rubber for 16 years. He played in a band called Wadsworth County Line for 20 years and he was an avid NASCAR race fan. Bodie loved working on his hot rods and he loved his family and grandchildren. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Eugene Collett. Survivors include his loving companion, Beth "Beverly" Spolar of Dayton; children, Brian Collett of Dayton, Ricky (Amber) Collett of Englewood, Tabitha (Shawn) Collett of Dayton; grandchildren, Courtney & Kennedy Collett, Cole & Cason Collett, & Gunnar Collett; sisters, Roberta (Don) Norman of Cleveland, TN and Juanita Collett of London, KY; brother, Allen Collett, Jr. of Dayton; and a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Joan Collett & Dorothy Cox of Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 PM.
