Blaine Cooper Jr, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Miami Valley Hospital on December 3, 2022. Blaine was born on August 25, 1942 in Kettle Island, Kentucky to Blaine and Lela Mae Cooper. After graduating from Wheelwright High School, Blaine decided he wanted to join the Air Force and was stationed at Shepherd AFB, Texas. Blaine would go on to serve as a Staff Sargent at Scott AFB, Illinois, abroad at RAF Mildenhall, London and finally at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio, where he also served on the Honor Guard. He was very proud to have served his Country. During his time in in the service he met and fell in love with Kaye Shouse and they married on February 17, 1968. They chose to settle in Dayton, Ohio. After the Service Blaine worked for Dexter Enterprises as a Master Plumber and at Good Samaritan Hospital as a Maintenance Supervisor, from where he retired.
When he wasn't working, Blaine loved to watch his Kentucky Wildcats and NASCAR. Blaine and Kaye loved to travel, spend time with family and friends and relax at home with their two dogs. He is survived by his wife, Kaye, his daughter Shelley Cooper (Mark Hoffman) and his brother Don (Glenda) Cooper. Additionally, Blaine is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Blaine is preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Lela Mae Cooper, sisters, Ada Schneider and Wanda Pappalardo and brother Rex Cooper.

Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio on Monday, December 12th with visitation starting at 9:30am and service at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
