Billy R. Sparkman

Billy R. "Bill" Sparkman, age 83, of Xenia, passed away on June 19, 2023, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born in Pippa Passes, Kentucky, on August 19, 1939, the son of the late Marion and Maude Sparkman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Thomas Ray Sparkman; brothers, Marion Sparkman, Jr., Ira Sparkman and Jimmy Sparkman; and sisters, Vivian Adams, Betty Ison and Creva Jewel Hall.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Kathleen "Kathy" Sparkman; his loving daughter, Lori (Calvin) Adams; loving daughter-in-law, Mandy Sparkman; grandchildren, Cody (Mollie), Caleb (Rachel) and Abbi; sisters, Mary Back and Peggy (Dale) Collins; and many other loving family and friends.

He retired from Duriron after over 40 years of employment. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He also loved to listen to Bluegrass Music and attend concerts. Bill was a very hard working man and was always there for his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm-5:00pm, on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
