Billy Joe "Big Bill" Langford, Sr., age 67, of Dayton, passed away on November 8, 2021. He was born in Cookeville, Tennessee, on November 23, 1953, the son of the late Carlos and Lainey Langford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Langford; and his sister, Velma Langford.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Donna Barrett; sons, Billy Langford, Jr. and David Langford; grandchildren, Courtney Vassar and Kylie Welsh; great grandson, Gabriel; siblings, UL Langford, Carson Langford, Bee Langford, Eugene Langford, Don Langford, Jim Langford, Charlie Langford, Marie Netherton, Sue Langford and Helen Langford; and many other loving family and friends.
Bill retired from Sholton's Construction, where he worked for many years. He was a member of a Pool League at the American Saloon and Sure Shots. In his free time, he enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, watching football and NASCAR and most importantly, spending time with his grandbabies. He was a hardworking man, and was always there for those he loved. Bill had a smile that could light up a room. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-2:00pm, on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 2:00pm.
