Billy Gene Williams, age 81, of Tipp City, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
Billy was born in Asa, KY on February 2, 1941 to the late Randsome & Grace Williams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters; 4 brothers; son, Vernon Ray Williams; granddaughters, Naomi Sue Kelley and Naomi Nicole Williams; and daughter-in-law, Becky Williams.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Phyllis Williams; children, William Everett, Jessica (Sean) Kelley and Edward Ottis Williams; grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Nicholson, Ashley Williams, MacKenzie (Austin) Cooper, Dustin Doane, Sean Kelley, Colin (Olivia) Kelley, Casey Kelley, Zachary Williams, Janielynn Williams and Beaudale Williams; great-grandsons, Lucas Nicholson and Waylon Nicholson; brothers, Richard Williams and Jack Williams; sisters, Wilma Sue Green and Linda Lou Snelling; and many other relatives and friends.
Billy was known as Papaw to everyone, his door was always open. Billy helped raise kids other than his own. He didn't know a stranger! Billy was inventive, clever and imaginative. There was no need to buy a part when he could make it himself. He passed that skill onto his sons. It was an ingenuity seldom seen. Everyone loved his wit to the very end.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later.
