Billy G. Faulkner
Age 71, of Huber Heights, passed away Friday, February 8, 2008, at his home. Billy was born February 21, 1936 in Gatliff, Kentucky to Tom & Lorelle Faulkner, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of the past 52 years, Nila Faulkner; one son, Larry & his wife, Lisa Faulkner; three grandchildren, William C. Faulkner, Christopher R. Spitler & Benjamin P. Spitler; one sister, Naomi & her husband, Ernie Hickey; two brothers, Jack & his wife, Wanda Faulkner and Tommy & his wife, Sharon Faulkner; and by his beloved pets, Abby & Zeus.
Billy retired as a Lieutenant with the Dayton Police Department with 33 years of service, where he also served as Dayton's first SWAT Commander. He was a member of the FOP Lodge # 44, Masonic Lodge, North Dayton Gun & Anglers Club and the Gem City Dog Obedience Club.
The family will be receiving friends from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Billy to Hospice of Dayton or the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
