Billy Bradley age 71 of Centerville Ohio was called home on May 2nd 2020. Born in Mobile Alabama to Mildred and Frank Bradley. Bill grew up in Chicago where he was a star athlete in high school in both football and basketball, winning numerous awards including the highly prized Knute Rockne award in football. Upon graduation from Charles A. Prosser Vocational High School he went to the University of Dayton on a full ride football scholarship where he achieved his Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.
After graduating from the University of Dayton, Bill accepted a manufacturing engineering position with General Motors, then over the next few years he progressed to Director of Engineering for Shopsmith. From there he transitioned to Bayer and became the Vice President of Operations then VP of Corporate Quality. It was during this time that he was featured in Black Enterprise as an emerging leader in business. Bill also received his MS in Supply Chain and Logistics in 2006 from Wright State.
Bill enjoyed a deep big laugh, food (master of the grilled cheese), watching sports, reading, funk music, the group Black Eye Peas and watching the Sci-Fi. He loved taking care of the yard, often cutting it twice a week. His hard work payed off because once he even won the Centerville beautification award while the neighborhood men joked that he made them have to work harder in their yards in order to keep up. He was an amazing father, grandpa and uncle, loved his nieces and nephews and entire family. With his humble and generous heart, he had a way of seeing the best in people and inspiring a spark of greatness in the lives he touched.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Mildred, grandma Mrs. Allbritton and in-laws Patrick, Brycy and John O'Brien.
Survived by his wife Hubri Bradley, Maureen Bradley mother of his children Amaha and Laura (Bobby), sons Reginald Bradley, Juan (Juanita), daughter Ankia (Durk), grandchildren Hone, Tyler, Randal, Austin, Asia, Seth, Leah-Francis, Danielia, brother Michael, in-laws Tim (Mary), Terry (Lynn), and Teresa O'Brien. Nieces Erin, Kelly, Megan, and nephews Sean, Kevin and Joe.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel..
