Billy H. Barnett, Sr.
February 21, 1938 — August 17, 2020
Billy Henry Barnett, age 82, of Union, passed away August 17, 2020. He was born in Jackson, Kentucky, on February 21, 1938, the son of the late Tevis and Ethel (Mullins) Barnett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Alfred Barnett; and his siblings, Glen, Lloyd, Boyd, Gene, Curt, Teb, Nancy, Alfred and Kathryn.
Billy is survived by his children, Bill H. (Barbara) Barnett, Jr., Saundra Kemp Barnett and Mark Barnett; grandchildren, Jason, Rachel, Brittany and Jeremy; many loving great-grandchildren; sister, Flossie Prater; former wife, Joyce Barnett; and many other loving family members and friends.
He retired from Oberer Development, where he worked in the Maintenance Department. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, playing pinochle, pool, horseshoes and croquet. Billy was quite the jokester and was always the life of the party. He will be dearly missed by his family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2020, from 1pm-3pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020, at 1:30pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
