Billie Jean Rose, age 75 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born October 21, 1945 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to the late Norma and Clyde Griffith.
Billie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She served as the Past-President of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary of which she found joy in volunteering. She really enjoyed cooking and everybody loved what she made. She also enjoyed shopping at thrift shops. Most of all, Billie cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Nevel Rose in 2017.
Billie will be missed by her loving children, Ted Rose and Kimberly (Bobby) Scott; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Sam) Brodnick and Bobby "BJ" Scott; five great-grandchildren, Brodey Scott, Cornell Akemon, Chayse Akemon, Caden Nevel Akemon and Chance Nevel Akemon; brothers, Clyde (Faye) Griffth, Jr. and James (Ellen) Griffith; many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Monday, October 18, 2021 from 6 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton.
