Billie Joyce (Casey) Farley
Age 80, of Huber Heights, entered Glory Land Monday, December 31, 2007.
There to greet her is her husband of 61 years, Bill W. Farley, also her parents, Ralph & Katie Casey; brother, Jack Casey; and parents-in-law, Willie & Vicy Farley.
Billie was born in Ransom, Kentucky on April 3, 1927. She and Bill moved to Dayton in 1953.
Mourning her passing while rejoicing at their parents' reunion are their children, Ron & Kathy Lynn Farley, Kathy Ellen Farley and Judy & David Saylor. Grieving for the precious woman they called "Mimi" are her six grandchildren, Todd, Chad (& fiancée, Megan) & Abby (& fiancé, Rob) Farley and Katie, Erin & Caleb Saylor. Billie also leaves two loving sisters and brother-in-law, Joann & Vernon Napier of Waynesville and Janice Eldridge of Silver Springs, Florida; three dear sisters-in-law, Vonice Henderson of Cincinnati and June and Helen Catron, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Billie is remembered by her many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends including her sisters and brothers in the Lord. Billie was a dedicated member of the Miami Primitive Baptist Church and devoted to the Lord. She attended Pikeville College in Pikeville, Kentucky and taught third grade during WW II. Billie felt being a wife and mother was her career and she soared to the top of the field. She was secretary, seamstress, teacher, hostess, nurse, volunteer extraordinaire, counselor…and the most patient, loving woman her family has ever been blessed to know. She loved Jesus, her family, books, music, flowers and sharing the aforementioned with others. She was also very involved with and embraced by the Deaf community through her daughter Kathy. In memory of this very special person, take time to tell your family that you love them, hug them a little tighter and appreciate all that God has given.
The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, at Miami Primitive Baptist Church, 2119 Keenan Avenue, Dayton, with Elders Paris Blackburn, Tennison Dotson and Hesker Gillum officiating.
If friends desire, contributions can be made in memory of Billie to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420 or the Primitive Baptist Church, 2119 Keenan Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45414.
