Bill "Scott" Barber, age 53, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015. Scott was born on April 17, 1962 in Dayton, OH. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lester and Leah Stolle of Dayton.
Scott is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Michelle; sons: Joshua Blaine and Cameron Scott; mother: Judith L. Barber; sister: Toni (Scott Wakefield) Gunn; his cherished cats: Garfield and Maui; and numerous relatives and friends. Scott was a very kind and loving husband and father. He let all know that his family was the most important thing in his life.
In his earlier years, Scott was an avid motocross racer. He received many awards and trophies, including being one of the 40th fastest and best motocross riders nationally in his class in 1985. Scott considered his time in motocross racing as some of the best times of his life.
Scott graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in Business and a minor in Computer Science. Scott was an entrepreneur specializing in the mortgage industry for 29 years, including owning his own company, Creative Mortgage LLC.
A service will be held on Tuesday, September 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH). Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
