Bige "Joe" Campbell, age 77 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday May 28, 2019 following a short battle with cancer. He was born April 2, 1942 in Perry County Ky.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Mitchell and Polly Campbell. Siblings: Clayton Campbell, Freda Watkins, Juanita Raynes, Cleta "Sis" Cody, Thelma Lee "Sister" Miller, Alvis Campbell, Mitchell "Bud" Campbell, Jr.
He is survived by his wife: Lee Campbell. His children: Danielle Campbell and Christopher (Lucinda) Campbell, Sr.; His Grandchildren: Christopher Campbell, Jr. and Marketa "Gabby" Earnest Campbell, a sister: Laura Watkins and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces and many, many friends.
Joe worked at Dayton Tire and Rubber, Cincinnati Chemical Company, Reynolds and Reynolds, City of Dayton, Neighborhood Assistance Officer (NAO) and Dayton Dragons.
He enjoyed Archery, knife making, woodworking, metal working, photography, painting, movies and reading.
Family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM.
