Beverly Sue Wilburn (DeWitt), 64, of Knightstown, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 9th, 2013 at her home. Born May 27th, 1949 in New Castle, Indiana, she is preceded in death by her late husband of 40 years, Harmon E. Wilburn, her parents Walter DeWitt and Rena Black DeWitt Wilson, sisters Josephine Hinshaw (DeWitt), Joyce Conley (DeWitt) and brother, Steven DeWitt.
Beverly was a dedicated homemaker for most of her life and some of her favorite things to do included quilting, gardening and sharing a meal with her family at her favorite Chinese restaurant. She is remembered for her sense of humor and joy of life.
She is survived by her three sons, Kenneth E. (wife, Carolyn) of West Carrollton, OH, Richard H. (wife, Pamela) of Richmond, IN and James J. (fiancé, Marikai Russell) of Westport, IN. She leaves behind nine grandchildren: Dwayne, Dustin, Kaitlyn, Kela, Leah, Austin, Aubrey, Kailey, and Hailey; and three great grandchildren: Isaiah, Nevaeh and Rondel.
She is also survived by sisters Nola (husband, John) of Knightstown, IN and Geneva (husband, Dennie) of Union City, IN; and many nieces and nephews that she truly loved. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Toby.
Beverly was loved by all that knew her and will be sorely missed. Services will be held on 2:00pm, Thursday, June 13th, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45449. Pastor Doug Surber officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Burial will follow at Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Beverly's memory to the family.
