Beverly Gale Schmidt Phillips

Beverly Schmidt Phillips, age 58 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 17, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital. Bev was born on March 28, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Eugene and Shirley Schmidt. In addition to her parents, Bev is preceded in death by her son, Bradley Hammel; first husband Rolland "Squeekie" Hammel Jr.; and second husband, Rick Phillips.

Bev was a devoted wife and partner, mother, and granny, who focused her life around her children and grandchildren who she loved dearly. Bev enjoyed painting, playing with her dog Barney and drinking Coca Cola.

Beverly is survived by her significant other of 6 years, Roger Cook; sons: Rolland (Jessica) Hammel III, Joshua (Ashely) Hammel, and Dustin (Olivia) Hammel; stepson Kris (Missy) Phillips; step daughter, Carrie Phillips; 20 Grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren, 2 step Great Grandchildren, Daughter in Law Melissa Fraley-Hammel, Her Brother Doug (Marsha) Schmidt, Sister Carrie (Jeff) Hunter and many Nieces, Nephews, and other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:30pm. Bev will be laid to rest by her husband at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
