Beverly Ann Locke

Locke (Loyd), Beverly "Bev" Ann, age 74, of Spring Valley, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024 at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.

Bev was born to George and Esther "Dolly" Loyd on June 1, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio. On July 8, 1967 she married Joseph "Joe" Locke of Knox, Indiana. They went on to have two children, Tammy and Bryan. They lived together in Spring Valley for over 50 years.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Bev was active in her church. She ministered to a countless number of children and their parents through her various church bus ministries. Bev enjoyed singing and worshiping the Lord every chance she had. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Bev was a loving member of the Eastview Church of God, Dayton, Ohio.

Bev was preceded in death by her father, George Loyd, her brother, Russell Loyd, and niece Deby Miller-Downey. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph "Joe" Locke, her mother, Esther "Dolly" Loyd, her sister, Linda (Ronald) Miller, her brother David (Karen) Loyd, her children Tammy (David) Lyons and Bryan Locke, and her grandchildren Allyson Johnson, Abigayle Meyer, and Ayden Locke, as well as many other family members and friends.

Public visitation will be held at Eastview Church of God (5289 Burkhardt Rd Riverside, Ohio 45431) on Monday May 13, 2024 at 10:00 am with funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Bellbrook Cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton in her name.
