Beverly Ann Hicks

Beverly Ann Hicks, age 89, of Dayton, passed away April 16, 2024. Beverly was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on October 12, 1934 to the late Albert and Fern Newstrand.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carol James.

She is survived by daughter, Brenda (Rande) Greene of Dayton; daughter, Nancy (Don) Holt of Edmond, OK; daughter, Patricia (David) Dehmlow of Spooner, WI; son, John (Nancy) Hicks of Chicago, IL; brother, Reverend Ronald Newstrand of Newark, OH; sister, Mary (Manuel) Rogers of Milwaukee, WI; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Beverly retired from Good Samaritan Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of the Faith Christian Fellowship, Beavercreek for many years where she served in women's ministry and music. Beverly was an accomplished musician and singer. She enjoyed gardening, reading, making jewelry and researching family and church history. Beverly wrote a book about her heritage and lifelong affection entitled "Midway Tabernacle/Apostolic Bible Church".

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-6:00pm on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Faith Christian Fellowship (1778 Grange Hall Rd., Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 6:00pm with Pastor Rande Greene officiating.

Beverly will be laid to rest the following day at Woodland Cemetery (118 Woodland Ave, Dayton) at 1:00pm.
