Beverly S. Decosier

Beverly S. deCosier, "Bev," age 68 of Beavercreek, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at Soin Medical Center. She was born October 14, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late William "Bill" and Patricia "Pat" Gerdes.

Bev graduated from Fairmont East High School Class of 1973 and the Dayton School of Practical Nursing Class of 1989. She was a home health care nurse for many years and loved her job. She made sure to go above and beyond when caring for her patients. Not only was she their nurse, she was their advocate and friend. Bev enjoyed listening to Christian music, camping, Donald Duck, and was a wonderful artist. Most importantly, she loved her family, especially her grandsons.

Bev is survived by her daughters, Brianna deCosier (Aaron Hakimian) and Christianna (Derek) Place; sister, Anne (Keith) Yarger; brothers, William "Bill" (Kathy) Gerdes and Douglas (Glenda) Gerdes; grandsons, Liam deCosier, Raine deCosier Hakimian, Kaiden Place; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, including close friends, Joe Yuppa and Amber Lawrence.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband and close friend, John deCosier; and sister, Carolyn Gerdes.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm.
