Betty Woolum

WOOLUM, Betty "B.J." 81, of Lakeview, OH, passed away on March 22, 2006 at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, OH. She was born July 31, 1924 in Dayton. Daughter of the late James and Gladys Rumsey Boyers. She is survived by her husband, whom she married on March 30, 1968, Gillis Woolum of Lakeview; son, Gary (Cathy) Pennington of Dayton; daughter, Sherry (Marty) Pesut of Dayton; step-sons, Gillis A. (Susan) Woolum of Dayton and William Arthur (Karen) Woolum of Marysville, OH; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew of Chicago, IL. Preceded in death by a brother, Harold Boyers. She was employed at Wright Paterson Air Force Base as a buyer from 1950-1981, served as President of V.F.W. Ladies aux. Post #8832 of Roundhead and District President of District 2 VFW of Ohio. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Woodland Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Waites will officiate.
