Betty Winning

WINNING, Betty Lou , 69, of Kettering passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. She is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Elizabeth Szakal and brother Robert Szakal. Betty is survived by husband of 50 years, Monroe Winning; daughter Anita (Roger) Osterfeld; son Michael (Sherry) Winning; daughter Adriene Conner; grandchildren Kelley (Nate) Koch, Ryan (Ashley) Osterfeld, Zachary (Amanda), Kyle, Caitlin, and Cody Winning, Cameron Winning, Garrett and Colton Conner ; sister Peggy Chambliss; brother Jeff (Sharon) Sakal; sister-in-law Lois Sakal-Grillott; numerous other family and friends. Betty was a very caring person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of American Legion #598 and VFW #9927. Betty was employed at Elder-Beerman for over 50 years. She was very creative and enjoyed working on crafts. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30AM Friday June 29, 2007 at Church of Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr. Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00PM Thursday June 28, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Burial will follow services at Calvary Cemetery.
