Betty Whitaker

Whitaker, Betty L., age 79, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Sunrise of Clayton. She was born January 22, 1927 in Dayton, the daughter of Charles Roy & Margaret Hilda (Rike) Evers. She was a charter member of the Ascension Catholic Church and a past membership director of Parents Without Partners. She was a volunteer and board member of the Charles Lathrem Center. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Ray Whitaker; brothers, Charles Evers & Thomas Evers. Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Curll) Kline of Meeker, CO; son, Chris (Jean) Whitaker of Huber Heights; grandchildren, Sargent 1st Class Randy & Jamie Clark, Tami Lavalle, and Tiffany Whitaker; great grandchildren, Miki, Brandon, Kai, Kali, Kreggor, & Kooper Clark, Danika & Tia Lavalle, & Kaylee Goodwin; and her sister, Beverly Evers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of services.
