Betty Jane Stine, age 91 of Springboro, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Tapestry Senior Living. She was born November 13, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Justus and Catherine (Boertlein) Honnert.
Betty graduated from Western Hills High School in Cincinnati. The following year, she moved to Washington D.C. and took a job working with the FBI. Throughout her working years, she was employed with Towne Properties and several retail department stores. Betty thoroughly enjoyed traveling with her friends and family and went on 23 cruises during her life. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her children, Mark Stine, James (Karen) Stine, Daniel (Lisa) Stine, Cheryl (Larry) Thompson; 6 grandchildren, Lauren Stine, Michael Thompson, Matthew (Jayme) Stine, Bryan Thompson, Kelsey Stine, Karley Stine; 2 great-granddaughters, Evelyn James Stine and Ada Graham Stine; sisters, Patricia (Ralph) Alexander, Judy (Jim) Poe; brother, Jerry (Jane) Bittner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Stine; and sister, Audrey Ankenbauer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Betty's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
