Betty May Shilt, age 90 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016. She was born April 18, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Otis and Almaretta Moore.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Shilt; daughter, Kathy Ball, and great grandson, Logan Ball.
Betty is survived by her children, Kandy (David) Cox, Kim Shilt, and Keith (Kathy) Shilt; grandchildren, Lynn Marie Shilt, Keith M. Shilt, Jason Ball, Rachael Carpenter, Jeremiah Ball, Nathan Ball, D.J. Ball, Chad Whitacre, Kali Cox; great grandchildren, Ashley Butler, Madison, Jaeli and Gehrig Shilt, Titus and Silas Carpenter, Emily and Luke Ball, Jaden and Tatum Whitacre, Hunter Ball, Josiah Langston, Cade Goforth, and Jazmine Tinker, as well as other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held May 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation will be May 9, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle.
