Betty S. Brown

Betty S. Brown, age 81 of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2021. She was born October 28, 1939 in Blue Creek, Ohio daughter of the late Samuel Nichols and Charlotte Linkous.

Betty was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.Betty grew up on a farm where she found her love for horses. She enjoyed spending her days cooking, hosting gatherings, painting, poetry, and watching game shows. Betty loved music and was talented at playing several different instruments. She is going to be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her and never forgotten. Betty went home to be with her husband Ed.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edward "Ed" Brown; and granddaughter, Kyrsten Paige Brown.

Betty is survived by her children, Michael (Jane) Brown, Corbet Brown, Christopher (Adelina) Brown, and April (Tye Martin) Mahaffey; grandchildren, Nicole (Greg) Ashley Segda, Elizabeth (Ben) Connors, and Adam (Samantha) Mahaffey; great-grandchildren, Ethan Connors, Christopher Connors, Nolan Mahaffey, and Eleyna Segda; sister, Patricia (Bill) Harris; brother, Larry (Lillian) Nichols; as well as a host of family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00pm at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Byron Cemetery.

The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask mandate that requires face masks to be worn in all public places.
