Betty Lou Reynolds

August 20, 1930 — April 27, 2018

Betty Lou Reynolds, age 87, of Kettering, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Friday, April 27, 2018.

She was born August 20, 1930 in Union City, IN to the late William H. and Dovie Gladys (Stevens) Abbott.

Betty worked at Rikes, Kettering and in the Elder Beerman credit department.

She loved her family dearly. She had a wide collection of butterflies. Betty never met a stranger!

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Kirby Manis and her second husband Benjamin Joe Reynolds; four brothers and one sister and son-in-law Jesse "Jay" DeBord.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryl DeBord and Crystal Klinger; two grandsons Adam DeBord and Brent Manis; two brothers James and Larry Abbott; three step-children Joy, Mary Jo and Billy; and "adopted" daughter Linda Handschumacher; numerous nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Betty's life will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Family will greet friends from 10-11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's honor to Hospice of Dayton.
