Betty Carol Moody, age 81 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 1, 1938 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Hasten and Gredice Porter.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Jacquline Leonard; siblings, Faye, Robert and Ray; and great grandson, Sam.
Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jack; son, Tim (Kathy) Moody; grandchildren, Chris (Andrea), Christina (Bradley), Rebecca, Brianna, Todd, Carrie, Kimberly; 14 great grandchildren; 4 sisters; and 3 brothers; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who also enjoyed gardening in her free time.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. Funeral service will begin at 6:00 pm.
