Betty May

Betty J. May, age 68 of Dayton, passed away August 16, 2016. She was born March 1, 1948 in Newcomerstown, OH to the late Raymond Vanderhoff and Kathryn Lee. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sisters: Alice Sasser and Nancy Finwick; brother, Roger Vanderhoff; brother-in-law, Lou Sasser; nephews: James Winterringer and Brandon Adams.

Betty is survived by her husband of 38 years, Tom May; children: Laurie (C.J.) Slagle, Jim Kneisley, Tom (Stacy) May, Jr. and Theresa (Jon) Hall; 11 grandchildren; brothers: Chester Lee and Marlowe (Ruby) Lee; sisters: Dolly (Larry) Richardson and Gloria (Buzz) Glass; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:30 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am. Burial at 1:00 pm at Dayton National Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Betty's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
