Betty Joyce Martin, "Sissy", age 76 of Miamisburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2023. She was born September 15, 1946 in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
Sissy was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Lee Martin, Jr., father, Harold Doolin, mother, Ida Mae (Dunn) Davis, brothers, Freddie Doolin, Harold "Junie" Doolin, Jr., William Lee "Bill" Doolin.
Sissy is survived by her children, Rhonda Jo Martin, Ronnie Ray Martin, Lee Ann (Wayne) Woody, Patrik James "PJ" (Monica) Martin; her grandchildren, Jessica Benjamin, Austin Thacker, Cody Martin, Makayla Woody, Cole Woody, Ace Martin, Adelyn Martin, Liam Martin; and her great-grandchildren, Lexi, Xavier, Raelyn, Bentley, Brantley, Ryan, and Karlie, along with her brother, Kenny Ray (Faye) Doolin; and many other relatives and loved ones.
While her children were growing up, Sissy was a devoted stay at home mother, and in her later years she enjoyed working at the Moose Lodge in Miamisburg. She had a welcoming smile for everyone and made friends easily. Sissy never knew a stranger and her door was always open.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 3:00 pm until time of service at 5:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
Sissy will be laid to rest on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at Athens Christian Church Cemetery, 6295 Athens Boonesboro Road, Lexington, KY 40509.
