It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Jean (Phillips) Lowe, on October 4, 2022. Betty resided with her nephew, Anthony Landgraf, in Huber Heights, Ohio at the time of her passing.
Born in Dayton, Ohio on January 16, 1959 to J. B. Phillips and Crystal (Grandolfo), Betty grew up in a blended family. She was predeceased by husband: Tom Lowe; both of her parents; two sons: Christopher and Shawn; and several siblings. Betty lived in Ohio most of her life and moved to Florida in 2014 to live at the beach with her best friend, Sharon Hobgood.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Angela Scott (Richard) of the Outer Banks, NC; five granddaughters: Patricia, Destiny, Lexis, Angel and Hailey; and two great-granddaughters; Zaniyah and one on-the-way. Betty is also survived by her sister Sarah Jones, of Crystal Lake; brothers: Charles Phillips (Sue) of Springfield, OH, Ernest and Tony Landgraf of Dayton, OH and Tommy Phillips (Marilyn) of Florida, and many many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Betty attended Tecumseh Local Schools and Sinclair Community College. She was retired from Dayton Public Schools, where she had been a paraprofessional for many years at Kiser Middle School.
Services for Betty will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Newcomer's Needmore Rd. Chapel in Dayton Ohio. Family will receive visitors from 2-3, with a service officiated by Pastor Cotto at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Betty's name to the American Lung Association.
Celebrate Betty's life the following day, Sunday October 30, 2022 beginning at 9:00am at the Crystal Lake Clubhouse (9 Club Circle, Medway, OH). We will also be celebrating her mother, Crystal's life, as her birthday is Halloween. There will be food from 1-4pm and a costume contest in Betty's honor at 8pm.
Betty, you were a very kind, loving, beautiful mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother and friend. We miss you already.
