Betty Lou Cartright, age 88 of Huber Heights, Ohio went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2024. She was born February 7, 1936 in Ruth, Kentucky daughter of the late Arthur and Stella Sears.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Valley Street Pentecostal Church. Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Franklin Cartright; son, Scott Braden; step-son, Doug Cartright; son-in-law, Tony Brown; grandson, Tommy Stoots; and grandson by marriage, John Jackson.
Betty is survived by her children, Joel (Donna) Braden, Curtis (Jenny) Braden, and Debbie Brown; second daughter, Doris Rinehart; step-sons, Joe Cartright and Steven Cartright; grandchildren, Johnny (Erica) Rinehart, David (Dawn) McCullah, Shelly Wiley, Sandra Stoots, Kenny Braden, Gregory (Kathy) Braden, Shauna Braden, Angie (Charlie) Hembree, Micah Hembree; April Jackson, Keith (Jessica Johnson) Brown, and Bryan (Holli) Brown; several great grandchildren; special nephew, Carl (Karen) Ward; as well as numerous other family members.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 10:30am with Pastor Hasty officiating. Burial will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery.
