Knick, Elizabeth E. "Betty", age 86, of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Liberty Retirement Community. She was born April 30, 1921 in Kentucky, the daughter of William & Lizzie (Parker) Franklin. She was a member of the American Legion Post 613 and was an avid bowler. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dan Knick; son, Michael Knick; and her brothers, Cecil & Edward Franklin. Survivors include her daughter, Vicki (Jim) Cassidy of Kettering; grandchild, Eric (Kate) Cassidy; brother, William Franklin, Jr., sister, Dorothy Hogue; and sister-in-law, Lois Linder. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH. Burial will follow at Greenville Union Cemetery, Greenville, OH. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of services. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at Liberty Retirement Community. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
