Betty G. Jurich, known for her dedication and warmth, passed away on May 29, 2024 in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio. She was born on June 28, 1947, to Edmond and Lurett Curtis in Dayton. Betty graduated from Beavercreek High School and went on to work at Maria-Joseph Nursing Home, where she touched the lives of many with her caring nature.
Described as amazing, funny, and loyal, Betty's presence brightened the lives of all who knew her. She had a reputation for being kind-hearted and hard-headed. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, as she cherished her church and her relationship with the Lord.
Betty found joy in simple pleasures like playing the piano, going fishing, and indulging in BINGO games. However, her proudest accomplishments revolved around spending time with her family, particularly with her daughters Regina Johnson (Robert Jr.) and Melinda Bates. Her love extended to her grandchildren: Robert Johnson III (Cheyan), Branden Bates, and Devin Lomax (Nick), as well as her great-grandchildren: Colten Bates, Braxton Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Layla Lomax, Lillian Lomax, and Lovelynn Lomax.
In the company of those she held dear, Betty's spirit shone brightest. She now joins her beloved husband Joe Jurich in eternal peace. She is also reunited with her parents Edmond and Lurett Curtis, sister Kathleen Young, brothers-in-law Bob Singer and Bob Jurich, and sisters-in-law Alice Muse and Brenda Dice.
Betty's memory will be treasured by her surviving family members: brothers Woody Curtis (Linda), Hobert Curtis (Lynn), Keith Curtis (Mary), sisters Dixie Singer, Patricia Ann Bronson (Sammy), Lisa Bargo (Randy), along with brothers- and sisters-in-law Ward Jurich, Marty Presson, David Presson,Roy Lee Presson,Linda Northern; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation for Betty will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 12:30-1:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace Betty, you will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
