Betty Jane Sharritt
Age 83, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Eddie Jones; and granddaughter, Deniene Miller. Betty is survived by two sons, Donald & Marie Miller and Clifford & Donna Sharritt; one daughter, Patricia Grooms; four grandchildren, Renee, Tracey, Jamie & Crystal; nine great grandchildren; and by one brother, Merle Brown. Betty served in the U. S. Army during WW II and retired from Dayton Press (McCalls) in 1982 with over 25 years of service. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Hillgrove Cemetery.
