Betty G. Hanger

Betty G. Hanger, age 101 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Trinity Community of Beavercreek. She was born September 6, 1922 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Alfonzo and Jeanette Grierson.

Betty retired from Chrysler Airtemp after a lifelong career. She was an avid member of the AMVETS Dayton Post 24 where she enjoyed cooking for others. She would take in any family member who needed help until they could make it on their own.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Lloyd Hanger Jr. and brothers, Walter Grierson, Francis Grierson, Harold Joseph Grierson and Donald Grierson.

Betty is survived by her nieces, Rita (Don) Cottrill and Theresa (Greg) Shoup; nephew, Ted Grierson; and several nieces and nephews from six generations.

A visitation will be Thursday, January, 11, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
