HALLER, Betty A., age 86, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Gordon "Bill".
She is survived by her son, Charles and wife, Cynthia of Beavercreek, OH; grandson, Michael and wife, Rebecca; great grandchildren, William and Elizabeth of Marietta, OH; sisters-in-law, Jane Browne and husband, Elvin of Centerville, OH and Patricia O'Brian and husband, Paul of Lexington, KY, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty worked at Montgomery County Cancer Control and later with Dayton Area Heart and Dayton Area Cancer for 30+ years, until her retirement. She was an avid golfer and a valued volunteer at Kettering Hospital for 22+ years.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 am at Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the great grandchildren's school, St. Mary Catholic School, 320 Marion St., Marietta, OH 45750.
