Betty Jean Glass, age 83 of Dayton, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018. She was born October 27, 1935 in Logan, West Virginia to the late Edward and Josie Mixon.
Betty Jean was a loving mother, a kind soul and was loved by many. She really loved her children and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Glass, Jr.; sister, Luetta Mills and brother, Donald Mixon.
Betty Jean will be missed by her two sons, Leroy C. (Shirley) Cockrell and Aaron E. Cockrell; grandchildren, Tischa Marie Cockrell, Adam L. Cockrell, Nastassja C. Cockrell and Heather Miller; great grandson, Trei N. Parker; great granddaughter, Madison Miller; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, November 16, 2018 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio. Burial will be held at 1:45 p.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
