Betty Lou Estep

September 29, 1937 — March 7, 2019

Betty Lou Estep, age 81 of Dayton , passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Village at the Greene. She was born September 29, 1937 in Tiffin, Ohio the daughter of Jake and Winnie Estep.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Jean Wolfe.

Betty was the first female umpire in the State of Ohio and is enshrined in the Umpires Hall of Fame Association. She retired from DESI after 35 years of service. Betty enjoyed watching sports on television and playing cards.

Betty is survived by her partner, Nancy A Daniels and her pet Nicole; nieces, nephews, the Ray family and all her friends, family and staff at the Village of the Greene nursing facility. She is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

A memorial service for Betty will be April 2, 2018 from 2-4 pm at the Village at the Green in Beavercreek, OH.
