Betty Cooper

Cooper, Betty, 80, formerly of Kettering, passed away June 10, 2005 at her residence in Greenville. She was born April 15, 1925 in Xenia to Earl and Alice McGrew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ford, and 2 brothers. She was a life member of VFW Post 9927 Ladies Auxiliary, UAW 696 Retirees, and a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church. Betty is survived by her three daughters Earlene and husband Sam Torch, Dixie and husband Butch Pogue, Trena and husband Jim Nolan, one sister Fern Uzzel, grandchildren Gina Soward, Angie Doyle, Kelly Strick, Joe Torch, Betty Jo Nolan, Ryan Adkins, Rodney Shaw, Brandon and Ryan Nolan, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will take place 2PM Friday, June 17 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road in Dayton with Pastor Ron Sperling officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. Friends may call at at the funeral home Thursday from 6-8PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.newcomerfamily.com
