Betty Jean Childers, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 22, 1964 to the late Robert and Ida Dunn. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Steve Childers and her brother, Edward Dunn.
Betty is survived by her sons: Christopher (Jennifer) Childers, Brian (Ilisa) Childers, Jonathan (April) Childers, and Patrick (Lindsay) Childers; sisters Kimberlie (Charles) Childers and Margaret Dunn; sister-in-law Missy (Jason) Whitt; numerous grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; as well as many other family and friends.
Betty attended Saint Peter Catholic Church, she loved to play bingo and get her nails done. Her greatest love was her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A funeral service will be held the following morning, May 10, 2022 beginning at 10:30am. Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
