Betty Rosalie Brooks, age 86 of Oakwood, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born April 19, 1931 in Bellbrook, OH daughter of the late Louis and Rachael Adams.
In addition to her parents Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Merle E. Brooks; siblings, Louis Adams, Jr., Helen Gilman and James Adams.
Betty is survived by her daughters, JoAnne L. (Fred) Davis and Patricia L. (Alfonso) Velez; sons, Robert M. Brooks, Richard M. (Cherylann) Brooks, James M. Brooks and David M. (Sarah) Brooks; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Reynolds and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Betty was a 1949 graduate of Julienne High School, Dayton. She worked as a purchasing agent for E.S.Klosterman Co./Eskco, retiring after 35+ years and then was employed as a tax preparer for Far Hills Accounting. Betty was a loving and dedicated spouse and mom. She was a life-long BINGO player and enjoyed visits to the casino. Betty also supported the Julienne Alumni Association.
Family will receive guests from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Newcomer – Kettering Chapel. A funeral ceremony will immediately follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Woodland Cemetery, Dayton will serve as Betty's final resting place. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
