Black, Betty Ann, age 79, a resident of Tipp City for 55 years, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015.
Betty Ann was born June 30, 1936 in Sidney, Ohio to the late Pearl and Clara Prueter. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1954, and married Douglas L. Black in 1956 and they later made their home in Tipp City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas L. Black, son, Terry Black, 2 sisters, Rose Katherine Stukenburg and Virginia Spaugy, and 1 brother, William Prueter. Betty Ann is survived by 2 children, Phyllis(Bill) Wholihan, Roger (Joanna) Black; 1 granddaughter, Caitlin(Sam)Bernard; 5 grandsons, Ryan(Brittany)Black, Brian Black, Jared (Shannon) Black, Brett (Bree) Black, Brandon Black; 2 great grandsons; 1 great granddaughter; her 2 "four legged babies", Gracie and Brucey; 2 sisters in law, Betty Prueter, Patricia Forror; 1 brother in law, Junior Spaugy; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Betty Ann enjoyed spending time in the outdoors camping, and travelling. She loved animals, especially dogs, and loved to feed the squirrels and chipmunks in her backyard. She had a passion for gardening which she shared with her husband Doug and continued after his death.
