Betty J. (Capps) Allen

Betty J. (Capps) Allen, age 68 of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on September 5, 2019. She was born April 10, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Paul and Juanita Capps. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her siblings: Paul W. Capps, Patricia A. Janes, Edward C. Capps, David A. Capps and Debra L. Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Carietta Allen Webb; grandchildren: Jakob Howell, Jenna Webb and Jack Webb; sisters: Carolyn M. Gibson, Brenda S. Ishmael (Michael), Wanda J. Mosley (Carl), Shirley M. Johnson and Robin S. Bruggeman (David); brother-in-law, Dennis D. Smith; special friends: David Madison, Kim Warren, Jackie Parrish and Ruby Ishmael; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty enjoyed working at the Montgomery County Public Defender's Office for many years. She loved her work family and neighbors. Betty loved being outside, gardening, crafts and going to the casino. She was a very giving woman who donated to many charities, but most of all, Betty loved being with her family and seeing them happy.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road. A celebration of life party will be held and announced at a later date. Betty's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and all the staff at Miami Valley Hospital for their loving care and concern.
