Bettina Renay (Tripp) Hudson, age 66 departed from this life July 5, 2022, at home surrounded by family, after a long two year battle with illness. Bettina also known as (Tina) to her family and friends was born March 28, 1956 to Hughlet (Bear) Wortham and Betty Elizabeth Porter. She was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School and attended YMCA Community College in Chicago, IL.
Tina didn't meet any strangers. Everyone she met gravitated towards her because of her humor and uplifting spirit. She always had a smile on her face and was always saying something funny to make you laugh. She was a fun person to be around. Tina was very loving and giving and had a big heart. Tina enjoyed cooking and loved to cook different dishes for her husband Woody. (She loved her some Woody). She would also prepare food and drinks and invite her friends over to join her listening to music and just having fun together.
For 23 years on Saturdays Tina loved being with her Mom to eat at a restaurant and attend a movie, no matter what the weather was, rain, sleet or snow. Every other Saturday morning she and her sister Nita would meet and have breakfast together. She also enjoyed playing Po Keno once a month with Kim and Lisa and her other friends. Tina enjoyed babysitting for her nieces, Heaven, CeCe and nephew, Brandon. They all enjoyed being around Tina. They said they loved to have Tina watch them because she would slip them a sip of her beverage.
Tina was a very dedicated and hard worker. While living and working in Chicago, IL she received many awards and monetary bonuses for her outstanding performance from General Services Administration. One of her co-workers in Chicago said she would help anyone who needed her expertise on how to do something which she did effortlessly. She was very dedicated to her job wherever she was employed. She loved and preferred working around a group of men and she was very much loved by many co-workers including Beverly Wortham whom she was very close to. Due to illness, Tina retired from Trotwood Police Department December, 2021.
Tina was preceded in death by her Father, Hughlet Wortham, Grandmother, Etta Jenkins, Uncle, Maurice W. Porter. Tina is survived by her Loving Husband, Woodrow Hudson the III, Loving Mother, Betty Elizabeth Porter, Beloved Sisters, Fran (Robert) Mitchell, Nita Houston, Lisa Wilkinson and Treva (Kevin-Deceased) Jones. Her family appreciates all of your condolences and love during this difficult time and would like everyone to know not one act of kindness has been unnoticed. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
We would also like to thank Betty Fountaine, Patricia Williams and Rosetta Littlejohn whom Tina referred to as her (three angels) for their love and compassion they lavished on Tina as they cared for her every week. She always had a big smile on her face when they came into the room and she would tell them that she loved them.
