Bettie L. Cardiff
February 7, 1932 — March 22, 2013
Cardiff, Bettie L., age 81, of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 22, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dustin "Dusty", her husband of 63 years, Russell in 2012, and by her half brother, William Blake.
Bettie is survived by her 5 children, Larry (Vicki), Cindy (Steve) Brogden, Julie, Chris (Sherri), and Jonathan; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; her half sister, Carol Schmeltzer; step sister, Donna Jean Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple, serving as church secretary, Sunday school teacher and choir member. She was a kindhearted and devoted grandmother, an avid reader, and generous in her support of foreign missions. She was well loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation 5-8pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Cornerstone Baptist Temple, 1701 Ohmer Ave. Dayton, where Funeral Service will be held 10:00am Wednesday, with Pastor Jerry Siler officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Dayton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Temple Missions Fund.
