Bethel B. Bailey

Bethel B. Bailey, age 88, of Dayton, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born April 16, 1926 in Barnetts Creek, Kentucky the daughter of the late Samuel and Virgie Blair.
Bethel was a devoted family woman who provided love to all she knew no matter blood related or not. She was a talented seamstress, quilt maker and cook. Her family will cherish the many recipes and quilts that she passed to them throughout the years. She found great comfort and peace in her relationship with Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 7 siblings; 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Albert; two sons, Robert Keith (Ginny) Bailey and Gary Lee Bailey; daughter, Melba Lynn (Ronnie) Allen; five grandchildren, Bryan (Amie) Bailey, Rebecca (Tad) Zink, Sherry (Nathan) McConnaughey, Karie (Jason) Barber and Matthew Allen; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
