Beth Ann Smith, 54 passed away peacefully in her bed October 4th, 2023. She was born June 29th, 1969 in Philadelphia PA. She moved to Dayton OH in 1984 to live with extended family. She Graduated from Sinclair College with an Associates in Radiology. She went on to be a CT Tech at the Dayton VA Medical Center.
Beth is Survived by Her husband Rowland Smith; Her Son Zachary Combs; Step daughters Melody and Gabriella Smith; Her brother Wayne Norton of Philadelphia PA; Her Aunt Sharon Prueter. Preceded in Death by her parents Judy May Swanson and Herbert Clair Norton of Philadelphia PA.
Beth was a dedicated mother to her Son and her four fur babies (Bandit, Jade, Massey, and Wesson), and loyal wife to her Husband. She took great pleasure in making sure that no matter what life threw at her, family came first. Birthdays and Holidays were celebrated to the extreme. Beth loved to see the joy and smiles on those she loved as she showered them with gifts, support, and unstoppable love.
While Beth always had a dream for traveling, she wasn't always able to at a young age. To satisfy this desire she found a love in street fairs and local festivals. Her favorite was the Troy Strawberry fest, she always made sure that she was able to attend and get her favorite pork chop sandwich and a traditional funnel cake (No toppings just powdered sugar).
Upon meeting her husband Rowland, she finally got to use her passport and start traveling. Beth loved the idea of visiting new areas and trying new things. She started attending concerts and music festivals every opportunity she had with her husband and son. She discovered that she enjoyed the crowds and the challenge of getting close to the stages to see her favorite bands perform live. She had the opportunity to fulfill one of her life dreams by attending the Louder Than Life Festival with her husband, son, and step daughter Melody in September 2023 and was counting down the days until the next one.
While she was in the process of planning trips for a cruise and to visit the shops of Bourbon Street in New Orleans in 2024, Beth was called home. In her 54 years, she leaves behind wonderful memories with her friends and family that will keep her with us always and forever.
