Bessie Day Hoffman Tackett "Bess" age 96, of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 23, 2020. She was born in Rabbit Gap at Rousseau, Kentucky on October 24, 1923 to the late Sewell and Sarah Day (nee Strong).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Tackett; son, Charles Raymond Hoffman; seven brothers; four sisters; and grandson-in-law, James Flynn.
Bess is survived by her beloved daughter-In-Law, Joyce Jackson Hoffman; grandchildren, Charles Randall Hoffman, Crystal (James Flynn) Hoffman all of Beavercreek, OH; Samantha (John) Gibson of Greenup, KY; great-grandchildren, Tabitha Hoffman, Bryan Hoffman, Piper Hoffman, Jamie Gibson, Thomas Gibson, and Joseph Gibson; great-great-grandchild, Aubrey Hoffman and a host of other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in loving memory of Bess.
Bess will be laid to rest between her husband, Ernie and her son, Ray at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria, Ohio. Due to the current environment surrounding the coronavirus, services will be held privately at this time. Family may do a memorial gathering at a later day to celebrate the life Bess lived.
