Bessie Griffith

Bessie "Honey" Griffith, of Dayton, passed away on January 28, 2022, at the age of "29", as she would always say. She was born in London, Kentucky on January 7th to the late Elik and Zella Hopkins.

She was a Sunday School Teacher for several years, but some of her favorite hobbies were thrift-store shopping and going to garage sales. She loved kids and raising her grandchildren was her greatest joy. She had a kind heart and a beautiful soul, and she was loved by everyone that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vencil Griffith; her brothers: Johnny and George Hopkins; her children: Junior, Corky, and Little; and her grandchildren: Jason and Brittany.

Her memory will be cherished by her sister, Cora Littler; her nieces: Jessica, Maria and Teresa; her grandchildren: Angel, Michelle, Shannon, Josh, and Christina; great-grandchildren: Danielle, Derek, Chelsie, Alana, Madchen, Chris, Jayson, Mikey, and Izzy; great-great grandchildren: Maliyah, Raegan, and Brinley; grand nieces: Kayly and Kiley; grand nephews: Jeremy and Timmy; as well as several extended family and friends.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to Bethany Village for taking such wonderful care of Bessie and ordering her pineapple pizza every Friday, and thank you to Domino's for making her pizza every week without fail.

A Celebration of Bessie's Life will be held at a later date.
